Administration Division

The Administration Division provides the administrative infrastructure to support Family Medicine’s patient care, research and education missions. Activities under the oversight of Administration include:

  • Budgeting & Financial Operations
  • Facilities Planning & Management
  • Procurement
  • Personnel Management
  • Faculty Compensation
  • Research Administration

The Family Medicine Administrator and administrative team serve as the liaison between the department and Brody School of Medicine and University Administration.

Additionally the Administrator provides instruction to residents and fellows on practice management topics to include contracts, business practice, clinical productivity, and personnel management.

Goals

Education
To ensure the financial success of the clinical practice and the future success of residents graduating from the residency program, educate faculty, fellows and residents about the business aspects of medicine.

Resource Allocation
To create a responsive administrative team that effectively provides the resources and infrastructure required to support the Department’s education, patient care and research activities.

Planning
To ensure the optimum utilization of the Department’s resources by engaging in continuous planning, assessment and evaluation.

Accountability & Responsibility
To develop and promote a standard for administrative excellence based on the core values of professionalism, integrity, personal responsibility and service.

Culture
To promote a culture that recognizes and values the role of all individuals as partners in the success of the Department’s missions and to create an environment that attracts and retains the highest quality faculty, staff, and residents.
